Going into The Cup and the Prince, I was a little hesitant that it would read like other popular YA books, I presently surprised that even though I found some similarities, it still felt unique and refreshing. I found the plot and and the characters to be intricate and very interesting. The story had me thinking the whole time. It was fast-paced and kept me intrigued the whole time. My only issue with the book is that I felt it needed more world-building. I feel like if more time was spent explaining how the world works, it would've been 5 stars for me. I'm hoping the next book will elaborate more and give us a better understanding on the background of the story. Overall, I really enjoyed the book and I'm excited to read more of these characters and what's next on their journey.
