The Jakarta Method: Washington's Anticommunist Crusade and the Mass Murder Program That Shaped Our World by Vincent Bevins

challenging dark informative slow-paced

3.75

A hard read, albeit informative. I was overwhelmed to the point of a minor depressive period (Hence my 3.75 stars. Very trauma-ridden)

The content is a 5 star. A must read for just about everyone I’ve ever encountered, at my impenetrably polite private school, at my desperately inclusive university, pretty much all my white and non-white friends back in France, Switzerland. We are liberals, yet we know little of our own history, and the bloodbath that pools around our current, impossible (especially after this read) struggles for the right to simply Live.
