I really loved this story. It's a dark twist on the Studio Contract era in Pre-Code Hollywood, but it is a twist that wholly makes sense to me. The horrors in this book were both very real, and something otherworldly and wholly unknown. The main character was interesting. She had depth and exhibited a certain amount of growth that made her relatable but also retained that sense of untouchability that so many Silver Screen Goddesses have. This was a good story that feels good to listen to on a cold day, with tea and all my blankets.
