There really is SO much symbolism and it only adds more to this incredible book. I absolutely adored everything about this. I put my other books down so I could read this in an evening. A friend sent it to me saying they thought I'd like it and I loved it so much. Nimona and all of the other characters are amazing. I caught myself laughing actually out loud a few times, and smiling more often than not. Nimona is wonderful and takes you on a journey that is perfectly encapsulated in the one book. Although I wouldn't mind more :') plus the art style is wonderful and made the book even more captivating!
