Catch-22 by Joseph Heller

3.0

I think pretty much everyone has heard of the term 'catch-22'. It's pretty much a pop culture reference. So I figured this is a book I need to read because I like knowing where something originated. So generally I did like the book. It shows the wonderfully, tragic irony of military service.

If you can get a doctor to admit that you are insane, you won't have to fly in war anymore. But if you want to be taken seriously by the doctor when telling him you are insane, you have to be sane... So any which way you look at it, the poor guy has to fly.

It was funny and tragic... but somehow I just missed the spark. I missed a certain connection to the story and its characters to say that this was so amazing I loved every minute of it...
