You can see where this story is going from the get-go, and the there is a fairly big dose of miscommunication at the heart of the conflict. But this is such a fun, summery rom-com. Genuinely made me laugh, a lot. And the characters felt much more believable than those I've read in other Emily Henry books. I could relate to Harriet's difficulty voicing herself, and believe that this relationship had fell apart because of misguided attempts to protect one another, which made the resolution feel like satisfying growth.  I had a really good time with this book.
