Usually, when you see an urban fantasy-type novel on the shelf, you expect monsters, mayhem, and sex. Well, this book definitely had mayhem & "creats & deits," as Delaney puts it, but it is alao brimming with emotion and humour and rich detail that put it head & shoulders above most run-of-the-mill female-led urban fantasies. Definitely recommend.
