Unbearably boring - though the first two installments got five-star ratings from me. But that was before reading Malazan Book of the Fallen. I blame Steven Erikson - after his Malazan series every other book of this genre seems bland and flawed. Stevie, not cool, man, not cool at all. You set the bar too high.
