I thought this was a cute story and overall enjoyed it. I was surprised to find that the sex scenes were uh, not for me. Don't get me wrong, I adore queer love and was definitely rooting for August and Jane, but sometimes the lovemaking just seemed like Too Much. That said, this would be a GREAT book for anyone who enjoys a touch of erotica in their romance.
Honestly I would have been happy with a different ending to this book, but I was okay with how it went. I kinda wish the story had included some more supernatural/sci fi elements than just the two (possibly three) characters with "unusual" abilities, or that the world/setting was a bit more fantastical or alternate reality. I think that would've given me the necessary setup to suspend my disbelief a little bit more. All in all, I think this is a good read for fans of romance who want to dabble in sci fi but aren't super into the heavy science type of sci fi.
