bsolarz 's review for:
The Notebook
by Nicholas Sparks
This book was... not what I expected.
I had watched the movie twice before (and cried on both occasions) and was expecting the book to make me do the same. But it didn't...
It was like the movie just took a couple of basic (and when I say basic, I MEAN basic) ideas from the book and created a whole new story from it. Dare I say I liked the movie better? For anyone that reads my book reviews, you will know I don't say that often...
The book moved fast... like, really fast. Where whole chunks of the storyline were missing. And it was not detailed... at all. Except for the sex scene. Truth.
All in all, I don't think I would recommend the book to anyone unless they are really... really sensitive and cry very easily.
