The hype of this book had me questioning it from the start, but it was a solid contemporary romance. Some elements felt unrealistic, like who actually calls radio shows and has a supportive bisexual co-parent anyway? But I appreciated the representation aspects of the book, like the fact that the FMC was a single mom working in a male-dominated field and had no bio family support, and both MCs had average joe jobs. The strongest theme was found family, and it just worked for the storyline. I also appreciated that Bmore was the center of this story - it's city doesn't get enough love ❤️
