I was intrigued by this latest trend in Greek Myth retellings, wondering how the author would approach the story of penelope. It had moments of political intrigue/thriller whilst still in keeping with the feel of a Greek Myth. I liked that it was narrated by the goddess Hera which I was not expecting. There were some laugh out loud moments and I thought overall it was a clever and well executed perspective. It was not perfect but it was enjoyable and I'm looking forward to the second book.
