These characters stole my heart from page one. I absolutely loved the growth they all had. This book was filled with love, understanding, patience, gratitude and Sweetness.
I loved the bond between Jensen and Caleb. Him being a dad came unexpectedly but he jumped into his role quick and without any complaints. I loveee how his son became his entire world the second he met him. He was protective of him, he loved him fiercely and it was clear he only wants him to be safe and happy.
Sering Caled open up as the book went on melted my heart. He was such a sweet kid. His bond with his dad grew little by little. Not only with him but with Briar also.
Briar was phenomenal. She was so patient with Caleb. She was sweet to me and always made sure je was comfortable and safe. She become one of his safe spaces really quickly. She helped him open up and explore a lot. The way they treated and loved this little boy was everything.
Jensen and Briar had an instant attraction. It took a little bit for something to happen but it was soooo worth it. They had really good chemistry. I feel like what made their relationship even better was the fact that they became friends before anything. They always spoke to one another, they were always there if they needed something they just went together perfectly.
It was cute how literally everyone knew they liked each other before they even got together bc of the way they gravitate to one another and they couldn't keep their eyes away. Their family and friends were nothing but supportive and loving. Not only did I love and enjoyed reading about Jensen, Caleb and Briar but also seeing their relationships with family/friends was just the icing on this amazing book.
