This book was like 5 books packed into one and not in a good way. It was horrifically long and and had so many plot points. The pacing was not great and there are. So. Many. Characters.
And can people stop coming back from the dead? Thanks.
There were so many plot twists that all of them lost their shock value and the writing started to feel lazy.
Yet, I still gave it four stars because I'm a sucker for good endings, and I loved this one. It gave me all the fluffy feelings and even though I was tired of plot twists, I kinda loved the Omen Darkly plot. Oh, and the Grand Mage reveal at end! Could not stop smiling.
I know that there's potential for more, and while Skulduggery Pleasant was my childhood, I think it's time we let Valkyrie rest.
