this was insane and surpassed my expectations so much - i’ve had issues with solomon’s work before that made their books hard for me to get into (mainly writing style nitpicks; and i still think they have a little bit of a tell-don’t-show issue but the rest of this book is so strong that it’s no longer really an issue) but this one immersed me in its world so much. an incredible melancholy book
