5/5 stars. I love historical fiction and this did not disappoint in any way. I freaking loved this. For now it’s a 4 star, but it could go up to a 5 star.
The MC & the LI are both transgender (not explicitly stated, but heavily implied enough that we know for sure) and I absolutely loved the representation for the time period.
(Edit: It has been changed to a 5 star. I fucking love this book. It is PHENOMENAL)
