Enjoyed how much of a ride this was from the start. Clark begins his story with immediate action, but is still able to flesh out his characters enough that you feel their personalities and can form attachments with them -- something I'm usually underwhelmed with in other novellas. As a fan of fantasy books, I particularly enjoyed the world building, which was succinct in these 180-ish pages.
Would definitely recommend this to anyone who's willing to try out a quick horror/fantasy read!
