Love love love! Dark academia vibes. Historical fantasy. Powerful character questioning what it is to want, to live, to be seen. The ending felt a little rushed given the buildup of the rest of the novel. Even though I know very little Spanish or about Spain in the 1500s, translations or context clues helped me out.
