Where do I start!

It had issues like over-objectifying female bodies and then people being extremely unprofessional in the workplace and calling another woman flat-assed and some others. But it got totally out of control when the guy started throwing money into our heroine's problems. Don't get me wrong, if I had money and means, I too would have spent every penny on the people I love, to help them come out of their misery.

The guy does that, good for them I guess. Then for some insecurity and trauma of his own, he snaps oneday and accuses the girl of using him for money, safety, and security which by the way the girl denied from the beginning but then accepted eventually. So then the girl leaves and clearly is doing everything to survive but he has to do some shit, right? So he again creates some fake trust funds and keeps helping her through donating Money and all that. Eventually, she forgives, cause hey LOVE! But throughout all these, the guy never actually says he is sorry for accusing her of being a fake, a user, money hungry, gold digger. He does say sorry. But what is an apology when you can't spell out how much damage you caused by using words that broke someone's sense of self!

Romance authors have this tendency to create grumpy characters who are only soft for the sunshine and when the grumpy one fucks up, we are supposed to forgive him, cause hey she is the first girl he let in! As if that's some sort of achievement or something!

Social media posts have already made it abundantly clear how actions are more valuable than words, but in all honesty, actions are nothing without words and vice versa. Cause what is the point of you solving all my problems secretly and not acknowledging in the right words what you did and how very sorry you are for doing that. Just saying sorry million times while playing around the bush is not enough.

Now, it's fiction. And it's also romance which shows happily ever after. If that is so, isn't it weird to show girls who forgive someone so easily after being disrespected to the core and call it forever love? Doesn't she deserve better? The author could have written anything. She could have written a destiny where in the end she didn’t need to be saved by him and he made genuine efforts and not money contributions to earn her trust and forgiveness back. But our author chose to write a story where Mr billionaire comes and saves the poor girl.

Right. Not for me.
