This book is EVERYTHING I expect feminist literature to be and much needed in the 2025 political climate (even though I'm very late reading it). Zetian is an absolute gem for a murderer; asking all the right questions and never putting aside her justified rage. She presents a delicious conundrum where you live vicariously through her violence while recognizing that she is still a deeply flawed individual. Zetian is vengeance for all of us who will never get it in the real world.
