The Chestnut King by N.D. Wilson

4.0

I liked this book. Once I understood how N.D. Wilson writes I then understood what he was saying. Instead of saying that -the man ran up and hit him in the face- Wilson would instead write about the staircase and then how the man felt falling down them, with his face stinging of an enemy's blow. Flowery and complex I did enjoy this series it just took me a while to understand it.

This is a trilogy for fans of Narnia, looking for another hidden world that can be found by finding the right door into it. A dark witch trying to destroy the world, and a hero who doesn't know what to do.
