This is not meant as a diss at all because Cosby is becoming one of my favorite authors, but I can tell this is his first novel because I’ve seen where he goes from here. It’s a fantastic start. He’s, in my opinion, a master of the “southern noir” novel. While there are some parts that are a little clunky in the first half, it doesn’t diminish what the novel becomes. I will read every book he publishes.
