Parable of the Talents by Octavia E. Butler
5.0
You can't - and you shouldn't - think of Parable of the Sower and Parable of the Talents as two separate books; they aren't. They are just two parts of a whole, amazing story.
Why Octavia E. Butler is not as known as many other sci-fi writers is something I will never understand and tolerate. This woman should be in a pedestal of fame as high as Carl Sagan, Frank Herbert and many others.
From her writing, to her vision way ahead of her time, to every single character, everything in this two-part-book was brilliantly executed.
Without spoiling anything, you get: climate change, a strong female character, LGBT and racial inclusiveness, science acclamation, religion and verses that you won't ever forget. What more can you expect from a book?
God is change.
