It’s been a while since I’ve been so compelled by a book that I clear my entire day to read it but this was absolutely worth it. It walks a very tight line between gruesome slasher and adorable rom-com with ease, jumping between the two expertly. The descriptions and scenarios for the dark part fulfill their promise while the budding chemistry is playful. It’s a little bit of a slow burn but when they finally get together, the author thoroughly rewards you for your patience. I think the saddest part of reading this book was getting to the end and remembering I’ll have to wait for the next one.
