I think this is my first contemporary romance book that I have ever read. I love romantasy. I’ve really enjoyed some historical romance. But this was my first contemporary romance. I picked this up because Maggie North recommended it as a must read while navigating my own potential existence on the spectrum and so much of this book just made sense - at least Stella’s thought processes and how she navigated her own needs. The fake dating an escort and falling in love bit did not make any sense - but hey it’s fiction, it’s escapism, and it’s fun. And I had a blast reading this one.
