Fade to Blue by Sean Beaudoin

Okay, I don't know why but when I bought this book I thought it was an angsty contemporary about a social misfit and a popular kid.
I'm so glad it definitely absolutely was not that.
It was really cool, I've never read anything like this before. I felt left behind towards the middle, like all the characters were figuring out what was happening but it wasn't being explained to me and I was worried that I wasn't going to like where it was gonna go but then the ending was so good and political and I'm satisfied.
