The Brutal Time by Christina Bauer

5.0

Angelbound is one of my all-time favorite books. I've re-read it a gazillion times. With each book in the series, I find it hard to start reading it. Don't get me wrong, I'm beyond excited to see what Myla & Lincoln are up to, but I'm always afraid, that book won't be ass good as the first one.

Well, it's amazing. From the first chapter, we are thrown right in the middle of the action. Myla is scheming and up to no good. In order to help fading angels, she has to travel back in time, gather her own knights of the round table. Only problem, she doesn't play well with others.

I love Myla, she is one of my all-time favorite characters, kick-ass, always battle-ready and snarky AF. :) I love the way she and Lincoln just fit.

The writing is top-notch, I love the way the story starts right in the middle of the action and there is no stopping, the pace is fast and I read it in one sitting. :)

The Brutal Time is the first on in Angelbound series, where narration switches between Myla and Lincoln. And... it just works. I fell in love with Lincoln's voice in Lincoln and I loved hearing what he was up to.

Highly recommend it to anyone!!!
