Long Bright River

Slow start. Too much time spent looking for Kacey. A lot of telling exposition through memories. Mickey kept making bad judgement calls left and right. And most of the book’s conflict was because everyone was lying.
I appreciated the dive into addiction and how it affects generations, but with the murder plot and the missing sister taking priority, it didn’t get the attention it deserved.
