Wandering Souls by Cecile Pin

raw, real, beautiful. a story of three siblings fleeing Vietnam and seeking refuge in the UK. Told from so many amazing and interesting POVs, i was really engaged with this one. we get commentaries from an unknown narrator, ghosts, and mixed media of letters and legislation passed at the time that affected the lives of our characters and so many other displaced refugees. i'm so surprised with all that the author is able to accomplish in a short amount of pages. the only thing that somewhat suffered is lack of characterization and fleshed out characters, but a beautifully told and devastating story nonetheless.
