I enjoyed this book so much!! I’ve been in the mood for a fantasy and this was exactly what I needed. I’m loving that it’s slow burn, but that doesn’t mean there’s no spice to it! The development of all of Zarya’s relationships and friendships and how she’s coming into her own after being alone for so long is so good. The magic system is interesting and I think I’m following along pretty well. I am so excited to continue the series after the way this book ended! There are so many questions to answer and I’m invested! Shiromi Arserio did a great job narrating and giving each character a distinct voice. I’m looking forward to continuing listening to the audiobooks.
