Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr

A pretty decent YA paranormal romance. Aislinn (pronounced "Ash-lynn") has always been able to see fairies. And she's always been able to ignore them, until two start following her everywhere she goes. One is The Summer King, Keenan, who believes Ash is his Queen. The other is Donia, the last girl Keenan tried to make Queen, who wasn't "The One".

Keenan was my biggest problem with this book. I am fairly certain that Marr wrote him to be unlikeable, but I'm just not sure. He was arrogant, rude and drugged Ash to get his way...and then expected her to be grateful that he didn't take advantage of her while she was passed out. Um, what a great guy?

Ash was a decent heroine and, unlike most YA heroines, she had a personality. I liked that she stood up to Keenan, even though he kept trying to pressure/trick her into doing what he wanted. Seth, her mortal crush, was probably the best character in the book. He was well-rounded, and actually cared more about Ash's feelings than his own.

The villain was very two-dimensional, and the final battle was over in two pages. A lot of build-up for a complete non-event. But, overall, an enjoyable book that I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a few days of light-reading.
