The Astonishing Color of After
by Emily X.R. Pan
it's one of those things that is just Art. it's simply Beautiful. i listened to it as an audiobook and i find myself in awe of the art of it.
it also does a great job of portraying depression from an outside perspective. i've read so many books about people who struggle from their perspective, but not so many about people who struggle from an outside perspective. it's informative, really
**spoilers**
it's a little hard to follow, with the story jumping between current time and memories, but it's so pretty
