Only Time Will Tell
by Jeffrey Archer
This book was not what I expected it to be. It was a coming of age story for Harry, but also a story of small details that all play a part in the bigger story. I thought it was historical fiction but it is more of a big family drama, which wasn’t a bad thing at all though. Switching from character to character throughout the book was a great way of storytelling in my opinion. It starts out describing Harry’s life for the first few chapters but then has sections dedicated to his dad, mom, mentor, best friend, and even his “enemy.” Harry ages like ten years in this book, despite the author not focusing on him as the main character in most of the sections, but rather describing events that affected him from other views. I thought that was unique and something that worked well. The ending section was also phenomenal and had me trying to figure out where the story was going, and the cliffhanger ending worked wonderfully. All in all I was very pleased with this book and plan to continue the series soon.
