This is a very fluffy witchy romance. What I mean by that is, it was sweet and light read. It was also a bit funny at times.
It did take me a while to get into this book only because it was slow at first. But around chapter 8 is when things started to pick up. I did enjoy reading this book but I didn’t care too much for the way Mariel’s mother was towards her.
I loved how Ozroth was towards Mariel even though he’s supposed to be this ruthless demon. Come to find out, he’s such a lovable guy only because he ended up with a soul. Their relationship is the sweetest and Ozroth helped Mariel know her own worth.
There isn’t much spice in this book but there is a bit of build up a tension between the two main characters. When the spice did show up, there was a few detailed senses but it wasn’t the main focus of the book. With that, I’ll rate the spice level a 2.
