brilliant, sweet, deep, warm, and real.

you know when you're in a trance-like nearly numbed out state, when the pain is too much and you feel like directionless buoy? imagine someone comes along and sees you, truly sees you, and they offer you the safest, tightest embrace that you have no choice but to melt into & crack open. thats what this book feels like. but also with excellent tension & spice. 👌

this is my second HBY book & i will now be reading everything she writes. its such a breath of fresh air to have MCs in a romance novel communicate their fears & hesitencies with one another. i loved how much time we got with Bo & Winnie in the same space. i loved how messy each of their back stories were and how it was effortlessly woven into the fabric of their being, thought processes, & behaviors. Bo and Winnie feel like very whole REAL people. even their friends and family members provided more than just the typical humor or context, they felt 3d too, which is a bit rarer in the standalone romance genre.

i absolutely recommend this book. superb banter & chemistry right from the jump. beautiful friendships. disability rep! excellent spice. no 3rd act breakup!

i read this through libby but ive already ordered a copy because i absolutely need to own it and reread it.
