Tory and Quinn

Tory Redson-Ridddle-Coffey (Tory Three Names) spent her summers in Dallas with her grandma running around with other kids who were there only for the summer. Her mother was a wealthy dancer who always thought everyone in Dallas was beneath her daughter. This includes Tory’s older Best friend Quinn who was “just a farm boy”.

Quinn Faulkner (Faulk) also spent his summers in Dallas on his grandpas ranch. He Is three years older than Tory. He met Tory one summer while the other kids dared her to take a honey comb from his grandpas bee farm. Quinn caught Tory and they became essentially inseparable during the summers they spent together. When Tory was 17 he started looking at her differently. Quinn being Quinn though knew he could not act on his feelings because of their age difference.

When Tory turns 18 she returns for the summer determined to make Quinn hers, only to discover Quinn is not there, he enlisted in the army. Tory does not return after that summer for several years until an accident at her dance studio leaves Tory unable to dance and in need of relaxation and rehabilitation. In comes Granny Coffey! Granny Coffey was a hoot to read about. She was super conniving and made no secret of her attempts to have Tory and Quinn admit their attraction to each other.

Quinn of course becomes the here Tory needs in more ways than one and they fall in love.

The Best Friend Zone is super funny, sexy and thrilling at the same time. Definitely 5 stars.

Book quotes:

“Quinn was just as infatuated with you,” Gran continues with a sigh. “But he was also too sensible. He understood the wretched complications with you two doves getting closer then. He really was a responsible kid, so mature for his age, and he’s a heck of a grown man now. He needs some, and so do you, dear.”

“I love you, Tory Redson-Riddle-Coffey.” I just blurt it out. “I’ve loved you for years, ever since I caught you freaking out over Gramps’ honey farm. When you fell down face-first in that peach pie, and I promised you’d find your man, even when you were so sticky and miserable you thought you’d never live it down...I had to prove you right. Here I am, darlin’. The same dude who loved you enough then to lick your face clean. Except now we’re grown up and I’m damn glad I get to taste every inch of you.”

“Yes! Of course, I’ll marry you! I’ve only loved you my entire life. Let’s do forever.”
