Blame it on the Mistletoe by Beth Garrod

3.0

This fun YA novel is The Holiday meets today’s influencers. Two girls, Ellen and Holly are friends on Instagram and switch places ( New Jersey and Little March, England) for a week leading up to Christmas. For Elle, she is in a challenge to gain new influencers and become a social media star. For Holly, she’s trying to get over her ex and find the holiday spirit again. Both girls will come to realize that the holidays are much more than likes on a post or perfect holiday plans.

Full disclosure I read majority of this book laying on my daughters floor because all noises are now terrifying, so it helped to pass time quickly. At first I was worried it would be another cheesy holiday book but I enjoyed the pacing of the story and the growth of both our characters. I highly recommend adding this to your holiday reading list!
