I feel like I am missing the start of the story, but barely since she recaps a couple times and I didn't know about the short story prequel ahead of time. despite that I still love the mercy thompson universe and this was a nice addition. I always wondered what was going on everywhere else while mercy was dealing with supernatural forces and now I know lol. good fun read
