I liked this better than Glint, but I am still incredibly frustrated after nearly 800 more pages. I really enjoy everything about them. Interesting world, truly vicious villains that are irredeamable, but Auren...she's the MaGuffin with constant poor decision making and almost never learning from her mistakes. Just huge character plot holes to set up circumstances to keep the reader on edge, which is absolutely unnecessary. I'm fairly certain we would be, anyway. I'm onto the next one but with heavy reservations. I want to see character growth that doesn't take two thousand pages.
