The Cinderella Society by Kay Cassidy

5.0

If I had known this was only going to be the first in a series, I would have waited to read it once the entire set was finished. Now I'm trying not to go crazy since I have to wait for next year to get the next book. The entire concept behind this novel is cute. The idea that there is a secret society of upstanding, wholesome, ambitious young women secretly battling their counterparts the "Wickeds" (girls with not-so-wholesome convictions) for the safety of "Reggies" (girls who are easily bullied) really gives the novel an empowering tone for teenage girls. I wish I had this book when I was in high school. It would have helped me handle "Wickeds" better and probably built up my own esteem a bit more.
