An amazing book. The writing is so beautiful that I felt all the naivety, frustration and hope right alongside the narrator. I enjoyed that the only perspective I had was that of the narrator’s - as a reader, it’s so immersive to have no more insight than the characters themselves do. The book was a little slow at parts (which is also an immersive aspect of it) but like the narrator, I was more than happy to work through them in the hope for answers at the end of them.
