I loved this book - it was short but so beautiful. I could taste the food, smell the fresh mountain air, see the beautiful landscape. The MC is complex, traumatized by living under a colonial mindset, but knowing no different. The ending was not as tense as I thought it would be, but I was worried that the way this story was told that it might end in a death. Thankfully I was wrong!! Phew!
