Waypoints: My Scottish Journey
by Sam Heughan
adventurous
inspiring
lighthearted
reflective
relaxing
medium-paced
I went in with not too much expectations for the writing but found it a surprisingly well-written and entertaining memoir. Though at times, a bit too repetitive.
Not only do you come to learn more about Sam, but the reader is also taken along the introspective reflections and revelations of his life starting from his childhood into adulthood whilst the hike takes place. Not to mention, some humor is also included.
With themes touching on the importance of slowing-living and the power of nature, this book can be valuable for anyone and not only actors or hikers.
