4 and 1/2 stars. Well written and very easy to read, even if you remember little from your high school science classes. Tissues might be needed toward the end! The only thing that kept this from being 5 stars for me is the lack of detail regarding the expansion of the Dog Project. The author mentions that, after the initial 2 dogs, more were trained and scanned, but doesn't elaborate beyond that. I wanted very much to know about the experiments performed with those other dogs, and the data that resulted from the scans :-)
