The way I wanted to read this book again immediately after finishing it. Its like a warm hug that you just want to lose yourself in. The book starts with  ER doctor Brianna Ortiz having to reassure the nurses that the new ER doctor, Jacob Maddox, is not Dr. Death. Which is made more difficult when he loses his seventh patient of the day. To make matters worse the chief is considering Dr. Death as the new chief once he retires, not Brianna. Then to top it all of he is rude! Brianna is angry and doesn't have time for drama or the boys club she works with, she has a chief of staff position to win and a brother who desperately needs a kidney transplant.

Then one day a letter appears for her from none other than Jacob. Se begins to learn more about him and suspects that he may be a better person than she had harshly judged him to be. That is confirmed when he finds out he is a donor match for Bri's brother and wants to anonymously donate. He doesn't want the attention it will bring just to ease Bri's troubles in any way he can. Even though Bri wasn't supposed to know she finds out who the donor is and is so appreciative of this she agrees to be his date to his brother and ex girlfriends wedding.

As they get to know each other through their fake dating charade they begin to understand that maybe its not a charade anymore.
