A standard Hackett book with a charming (billionaire) alpha hero and a beautiful, ice-cool heroine who kicks major ass, working together to bring down a black-market weapon dealer. For a change, she's the one who's closed off due to past betrayal. He also had baggage but he's all in. Their issues should've taken more time to resolve instead of disappearing magically.

Nevertheless, I did enjoy them - they have good chemistry, worked great together and them having interactions previously toned down the instalovey feels. Sexy times are inappropriate at times, but still fun. I also liked that he's the sidekick for a change, although
she's still the one taken by the villain at the climax, sigh
. Action wise, it's fast paced and entertaining.
