This book has all the ingredients for an instant classic to me: women finding their strength in nature and legacy. This book was good! I just can’t explain why it didn’t grip me harder. Maybe it was because I was busy as I read it. I’m not sure.
The prose is really good, often tragic but hopeful, and the characters are interesting. Be warned - this is a sad book full of adversity. But as I mentioned earlier, full of hope.
