Gill really is becoming one of my favourite modern poets.
For me, not every poem was a home run, but the ones that hit - they hit deep. I feel like my soul has been dipped into a salty ocean and rung dry, stars and matter trickling put as it’s twisted in the hands of those that didn’t love me enough. Powerful and poignant, Gill captures the joy and pain of life and the collective experiences we share, especially as women in a society that doesn’t always treat us right.
