I enjoyed this book. I believe the writing is well done, there’s a great storyline and the characters are well developed. It was entertaining and I wanted to consistently pick it up to read it, which is always a good sign.

What I didn’t enjoy so much, is there were so many names and words and I couldn’t seem to remember all of them. Some of the names are also similar, which made it a challenge for me. Perhaps if I wasn’t so new to Fantasy, I’d have been able to get to grips with them all a little easier.

Also, I chose to read it on kindle, as the print was too small for me in the book, I didn’t know about the glossary, until I reached the end of the book. That’s something that if I’d have realised, it would have made my reading experience better, but that’s on my head. Had I been reading the paperback, I’d have seen the glossary much earlier.

I wasn’t so invested in the romance side, it felt a little out of the blue and could have benefited from a little more development.
