Edge of Eternity by Ken Follett

3.0

I'll give Follett that he can write thousand page books that keep you coming back. His narrative always has a good pace and his story usually makes sense. Here though, the 3 stars is somewhat based on the previous installments. This story was not as compelling, nor was it as interesting. One real negative is the infidelity each character exhibited. It is crazy how much they got around.

I don't have qualms about the historic events that were interacted with. The goal is not to recreate Forrest Gump. I liked that more of the story focused on the Russian branch. This story line is more prevalent than in previous books in the series. interesting way to have the characters fade in and out, where some characters from the first book still exist and some are gone.

I liked the ending, though wished that the final words had been stated by a decedent of Billy Williams.
